Camp Themes and Activities
This Spring Camp, we are embracing the beauty of Japan's Cherry Blossom Festival (Hanami), a wonderful time when nature blooms with grace and beauty.
Each experience will be tailored by age, so infants, toddlers, and preschoolers can enjoy activities that match their developmental stage.
Languages
Introducing simple Japanese words like Sakura (cherry blossom), Konnichiwa (hello), and Hana (flower) to build language skills and introduce children to the richness of Japanese culture.
Sensorial Activities: Petal Sensory Bin
An engaging exploration of textures, smells, and colors through real or faux cherry blossoms. This encourages sensory development and tactile exploration.
Movement & Mindfulness: Blossom Yoga
Gentle stretches to help children imagine themselves swaying like cherry trees in the wind. This activity promotes mindfulness, balance, and coordination.
Art & Craft: Cherry Blossom Painting
A creative art activity where children will paint their own cherry blossoms, enhancing their fine motor skills and creativity. Blossom Collage – Children will create their own cherry blossom trees using various materials, fostering imagination and artistic expression.
