Curriculum
A Blended Curriculum That Honors Every Child’s Natural Development
At First Path Montessori, we believe the early years are the most important in a child’s life, and that education should be as unique and dynamic as the children we serve. That’s why we’ve carefully combined the very best elements of three leading early childhood education philosophies:
British EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage)
The British EYFS curriculum provides the structured foundation of our programme. It guides children’s learning and development across seven key areas, from communication and physical development to literacy and numeracy.
At First Path Montessori, the EYFS framework ensures:
Developmentally appropriate learning goals
Regular observation and assessment
A balance of child-led play and adult-guided activities
Clear pathways for school readiness
We align our classrooms and daily routines with the EYFS to support consistent progress and ensure children are confidently prepared for FS1, FS2, Year 1, or KG2, whether they continue in British, American, or other international systems.

Montessori Method
At the heart of our philosophy is Montessori education, which respects the individuality of every child and allows them to learn at their own pace in a prepared environment.
Our Montessori classrooms offer:
Hands-on learning materials that promote independent discovery
Mixed-age groups that encourage peer learning and leadership
A calm, orderly environment that fosters concentration and confidence
Trained Montessori guides who act as facilitators, not instructors
Children in our programme develop strong problem-solving skills, academic foundations, and a genuine love for learning, all while becoming independent thinkers.
Reggio Emilia Inspiration
We also draw inspiration from the Reggio Emilia approach, which values children as creative, capable, and curious individuals with a hundred ways of expressing themselves.
In our Reggio-inspired classrooms, children experience:
Project-based exploration guided by their interests
Open-ended materials and provocations that spark imagination
A strong emphasis on collaboration, communication, and community
Documentation of learning through photos, journals, and displays
This approach empowers children to take an active role in their education, ask questions, and express their thinking through art, movement, conversation, and play.
Why Our Blended Curriculum Works
By combining these three powerful educational philosophies, we’ve created a balanced and holistic programme that supports:
Academic Readiness
Emotional well-being
